Orientation Programme for Fresh Students

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) has organised an orientation programme for all fresh students (level 100) in the School. The programme, which took place on January 13, 2022, was in four sessions covering the following programmes run in the School: Earth Science, Information Technology, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Report on Send-off Organized for 2021 Retirees of the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS), under the auspices of the Office of the Dean, organized a send-off for staff who retired from the service of the University on July 31, 2021. The purpose was to acknowledge of their hard work and to formally appreciate them for their illustrious and indispensable service to SPMS and the University as a whole.

Workshop on GMES & Africa: Monitoring and Forecasting Floods and Droughts and their Potential Impacts.

A teleconference was organised from February 9-11, 2021 and February 23-25, 2021 to equip participants with skills and tools to help monitor and forecast floods and droughts and their potential impacts.

Maiden SPMS School Level Seminar Dubbed “Afternoons With SPMS”

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) had its maiden School level seminar dubbed 'Afternoons with SPMS'.  This is a new and exciting multidisciplinary seminar series organised by SPMS. The seminars will discuss relevant topics and are intended to foster interdepartmental and industry collaborations in research.
